Best pastry shop with currently exemplary hygiene protection and sales. Only to go. Waiting time approx. 5 minutes in the afternoon. Price / performance: O.K. Pieces of cake could be a little more generous. Service: friendly and helpful with questions.
Sooooo delicious !!! Tried all kinds of cakes and pies. One better than the other.
Rough service, but good cake.
There are delicious cakes here. We love the Sachertorte.
Traditional pastry shop with wonderful cakes and pies, absolutely worth a visit!
Well, the selection of cakes was okay (but not outstanding), the bar staff were lazy and slightly unfriendly, the apparently only waiter was overwhelmed. The latte was frothed over and tasteless, the cake was quite good. All in all, I expected a lot more here, given the reputation, appearance and location of the café.

There is a wide range of homemade cakes and other sweets. I can highly recommend the pastry shop.
Great at first glance, but then the facade crumbled, which is why we don't recommend the pastry shop to anyone. First impression great. It was noticeable that almost no prices are shown (probably for good reason). I then pointed 3 or 4 times to a plum cake (kind of cake with sour cream), which I would like to eat in the cafe. So the saleswoman knew what I wanted. She then said: 'You can only order drinks at the table'. OK. After a loooong time of sitting around (few guests) the waiter came and put a plum cake as requested. But wasn't the kind of plum cake I wanted. So the saleswoman did not give the information which plum cake it should be to the waiter. Exchange succeeded;). We then ordered a cocoa and water. Problem: the waiter was so busy that it took forever. Cake and drink came separately and with a very long delay. It was disappointing that it was pure water cocoa. In normal bakeries you often get it with whole milk. So I dutifully swallowed the watery water powder `` cocoa ''. The calculation then took a while. However, it was extremely happy. A piece of cake € 4.30, the small water cocoa = € 5.90 and a mini bottle of water = € 2.80. However, we often saw a wealthy clientele come in, I think this shop is designed for those who don't care about money. An important thing that caught our eye: The young waiter (from China?) Did his best, was ONLY running, doing and doing. We really noticed how stressed he was to please everyone. It was no wonder that with so much work he had to keep the guests waiting. BECAUSE ... actually there was MORE PERSONNEL! The older women! But they preferred to stand behind the counter. As if they had nothing to do with the cafe itself. Now and then type in a price in the cash register, if you wanted cookies okay. But the waiter was really working. Was not understandable for us. To us it looked like the young waiter was being taken advantage of. That was so obvious the ambivalence between the work of the waiter and the women standing around behind the counter, which we talked about 5 minutes after leaving the shop. But of course it could only have been a snapshot of how things usually go, we don't know. The toilets, which were clean, bright and very friendly (anteroom), were positively remembered. The pastry shop should hire other, better, more dynamic, friendlier saleswomen. But maybe it doesn't need that, because you only want to serve the rich, older people anyway.
We have been coming here for years to take cakes and pastries with us. Always top goods of the best quality. Baumkuchen can be ordered here without a coating ... a great delicacy in the cold season
Confectionery Lindtner - a classic confectionery with the charm of bygone times. But only when it comes to the interior. There is a large selection of different cakes, cakes and classic coffee specialties. First class taste. However, the service is absolutely underground. The staff is inattentive, arrogant and rude. You are not greeted (not to mention friendly), you wait forever until you are served (in our case 35 minutes until we even got a card and that only on request) and the special procedure for ordering is not explained. In addition, when paying by card, we were greeted with the words: "Oh, there is still enough money in the account." Absolute disaster and definitely not to be recommended, at most the cake to take away.
Venerable pastry shop with an extensive selection of cakes that is rarely found. Biscuits and pralines etc. from our own production are also offered. Those with a sweet tooth will get their money's worth here. Yes, the prices are a bit higher, but the quality is good. Unfortunately no barrier-free toilet (steep stairs to the basement). You can sit comfortably on the terrace. The service sometimes takes a while, but you are not on the run! Always happy when you're out and about in Eppendorf.
You can't decide which cake to take because it all looks so delicious. Perfect
We had breakfast here twice during our short trip to Hamburg and were enthusiastic. A nice young lady served us courteously. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. On the second day we took cakes and pralines home with us and were delighted with them too. In some comments it was said that the pieces of cake are too small or too expensive, I see that differently, the size of the cake pieces is completely ok and the price is also good, quality has its price ... Ps: We'll be back for sure ...
Traditional pastry shop, very good cakes. If you are served and have the luxury of being able to place an order. At the next table, guests came after us and had received their entire order before we could even ask for the card. And everyone can form their own opinion on the size of the cake pieces with the attached photo.
Service super nice. Selection of cakes very large. Sitting outside is super nice. You can hardly hear the cars. The price is a little high, but you get a big piece of cake for that. EC payment is also possible. Are enthusiastic and happy to be there.
A great breakfast for 2 people! Finally a salmon portion that is really enough for 2 people! The other components were also very appetizing! Not our "corner" but we'll be back anyway!
We had breakfast there. The food was delicious and everything was fresh. The service was also nice and courteous.
Mega
Yes the cakes are beautiful. Yes it is traditional craftsmanship. But I know small, inconspicuous pastry chefs who may not have such a perfect presentation, but a better price-performance ratio and an equally better taste. Unfortunately, I found the cakes at Lindtner pretty bland, so I expected a lot more than in our bakery and confectionery in the small town. The ambience is okay, it's past its prime. Waiter was an old school original, but has unfortunately become rare.
Great atmosphere and humble staff. Would like to have more options for breakfast ?
The cafe had really nice ambiance. It was really cozy. The staffs were very friendly. The food is also fantastic. The tea and cake taste amazing. The price is very reasonable too. Definitely worth going to.
Great atmosphere with delicious desserts and coffee.
One of the best cafes in town, try cheesecake
If you are in Hamburg and love cake
Here time has stopped for a while. Even entering the confectionery through the massive revolving door is something special. Just a little time travel. The selection of cakes and pies is really great. Something is rare and then just everything homemade. The price-performance ratio is also great. We felt in good hands and were pleased with our service. Come again!
Its amazing. Delicious home-made cakes and good coffee make your day better. ?
One of the best Sunday brunches in Eppendorf
We come here for the very good and delicious cake. But seeing the restrooms (ladies) it is a very very yuky..... the toilette is dirty, worse than any toilette at the station or any public one I have seen. This is a very bad reputation for this nice cafe. I wanted to put a pic, but it is just tooooo ugly. So no five stars because of the above mentioned.
A cafe / pastry shop old school. Traditionally good filter coffee, tea and cake / pies. Unfortunately I have not found a better cake vendors in Hamburg, with the selection, taste and traditional presentation. The ladies of the house in the Service are slightly bitchy, a little more empathy and kindness would fit better.
Delicious
Cosy and old school. Best quality proves itself.
Lovely tarts and coffee. Good old fashioned but lively place.
We had a wonderful breakfast buffet on Saturday morning. The service was exceptional. All was fantastic.
Popular location for a treat - breakfast or teatime. One needs to reserve a table at its old fashioned resteraunt. Rather slow service.
A cake and bakery from the good old days. One of the last of its kind. They also have a dining area. Have a quiet, tranquil, clean oldschool breakfast (served until 1pm). If youre alone or more this is the place for a slow start to the day. Even the waiters are well trained not to "disturb the peace and quiet". One of the last places of this kind I know where they use tablecloths. A must if you need to get away from the hassle outside.
GREAT cake, coffee and marvellous breakfast. My favorite for celebrating or just going for afternoon tea
Horrible service! The waitress ignore us for 15 minutes and served 3 people before we got a menu. Seems like I was not white, old or German enough for her to be served.
Great chocolate!
This cafe offers a wide range of cakes. They also have great homemade chocolate delicacies and truffles. We went to take some cakes home and everything we got was second-to-none. The staff was really effiecent and friendly, which made the queue time really short. I would definitely recommend this place if you enjoy great fancy cakes!
